The 40th Reunion of the Class of 1963 is over and now there is time to reflect back on what happened over that weekend. All of us were perhaps a bit apprehensive about seeing our classmates again after 40 years. But if you talk with anyone that was there, you will likely hear the same story. There was a bond between all of us; even with those that you didn't really know back in high school. We had something in common; we were all there at Marshall and we all experienced the same things. We had the chance to see some of our teachers and hear what they had to say about us. Our cheerleaders led us just like they did 40 years ago. One of our classmates wrote and sang a beautiful song for us. The program closed with the 1962 recording of May the Lord Bless and Keep You by the choir. It was the way they ended every performance. When the song ended, there was absolute silence. The spirit of the 100th Graduating Class of John Marshall High School lives on.
Stay tuned. We'll have another reunion in 2008!
