5W, SAMOA ACTIVITIES (Update/Callsign Confusion)
* Ralph, H44RK, who was originally expected to be active as 5W0RK or
5W0KR from Apia until March 3rd (2013) from Samoa, has informed OPDX
of the following [edit]:
Hi All.... After a crazy week and weekend of packing, getting my licence and moving to Apia, Samoa, I have finally arrived. The good news is that I have my latest and permanent callsign 5W0W. After a lot of to and fro with suffixes 'RK' and 'KR'.Remember, his activity will be on 20-10 meters using SSB and the Digital modes. QSL via NR6M.So all is good that ends well, so they say, so 5W0W it is and have now set up (QRZ.com) for that. For those of you who made a contact with me on Sunday's ANZA DX net as 5W0KR.... well it is a valid one, but if you need a QSL card, I will have to disappoint, but I am sure we will make many more contacts with this final call. Thanks to you all for your understanding..... Best 73... Ralph, 5W0W"
* NOW TO REALLY CONFUSE THE SITUATION! Ralph, VK4VB/5H3RK, was active from Samoa during this past week as 5W0RK (You confused yet!). Activity was on 17 meters CW/SSB, but by the time you read this he will probably be QRT. Ralph was there on business, but plans to be active from Samoa twice yearly until 2015. QSL via VK4VB.

respond to any C6AGG QSL requests with a C6AEE QSL." Actually, C6AGG
belongs to Carolyn Wardle of Nassau and has had the callsign for 22
years. Gil will be on the island until December 13th. Activity will
be holiday style on 80-10 meters using mostly SSB with some CW. QSL
via N2GG.
