4X266/4Z266, ISRAEL (Special Event)
Look for special event stations 4X266POPE and 4Z266POPE to be active between May 20-27th. Activity is to celebrate Pope Francis's visit to Israel. QSL both callsigns via 4Z1TL.

5J0/HK0, SAN ANDRES
. Tim, LW9EOC, will once again be active from San Andres Island (NA-033) between November 26th and December 9th. Callsign was not announced, but possibly 5J0T again. Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. He also plans to be in the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry and the ARRL 160m CW Contest (December 6-8th). QSL via his home callsign.

7Q, MALAWI (Reminder/Update)
Just a reminder that Dr. Remco, PA3FYM, will be active as 7QNL (yes, that is the callsign) from Malawi for 3 weeks in May and June. Remco informs OPDX that the activity will be from around May 18th, until June 10th. He will likely be in Malawi during the Presidential Elections, and plans to participate in the CQ WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th) with his special callsign as a Single-Op entry. His planned activity will be on 80/40/30/20/17/15/12/10/6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. Suggested frequencies are:

DAYTON HAMVENTION DX HOSPITALITY SUITE
The Northern Ohio DX Association (along with Janeen Hire, W8ZET) will once again sponsor a Hospitality Suite (18th year) at this year's Dayton Hamvention. It will be in Suite 1011 on the 10th floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (Look for signs!). All DXers/Contesters are welcome. Munchies and refreshments will be available. Come and meet the members and friends of NODXA.

DAYTON HAMVENTION NEWS (Card Checking)
The ARRL DXCC Blog announces:

E5, SOUTH COOK ISLANDS
Richard, N7HX, is now active as E51NHX from Rarotonga (OC-013). He is there on a vacation, but currently we do not know for how long. Activity has been mainly on 20 and 15 meters SSB. QSL via his home callsign.

E5, SOUTH COOK ISLANDS
Just a reminder that four members of the Yamato Amateur Radio Club will be active from Rarotonga, South Cook Islands, with their own individual callsigns between May 22-31st. Operators mentioned are Kuni/JA8VE (E51AVE), Sasi/JA1KJW (E51KJW), Mat/JA1JQY (JA1JQY) and Kaoru/JA3MCA (E51MCA). Activity will be on all HF bands from 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. EA8, CANARY ISLANDS
Juan, EA8RM, will operate as EF8U from the Las Palmas Contest station on Gran Canaria Island (AF-004) during the CQWW WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry. QSL via LoTW or direct to EA8URE.

GT3, ISLE OF MAN
Members of the Telford and District Amateur Society will be visiting the Isle Of Man and will be active as GT3ZME/P between June 26-30th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters, VHF (50MHz/70MHz/144MHz), UHF (1.3GHz) and SHF (2.3GHz/3.4GHz/5.7GHz/10GHz/24GHz). IOTA NEWS
AF-004. Mike, DG5LAC, will be active as EA8/DG5LAC from Fuerteventura Island (DIE S-006, WLOTA 0883, WWFF EAFF-191) between May 11-23rd. Activity will be on 80-10 meters using SSB with 100 watts. QSL via DG5LAC, direct or by the Bureau. Log will be upload to LoTW, eQSL and WWFF.

AF-018. Simone, IV3NVN, will be active with the special callsign IY9A from Pantelleria Island in the CQWW WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th) as as Single-Op/Single-Band (40m) entry. The special callsign is to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the birth of Guglielmo Marconi. Outside of the contest he will be active as IH9/IV3NVN. QSL via IK2ILH, direct, by the bureau or LoTW.

AS-143. Just a reminder that a group of Chinese hams will be active from the rare Yongxing Island, Paracel Islands, sometime between now and May 15th. The actual operation period depends on the schedule of the ship. Only one radio is allowed to be on the air 24 hours around the clock due to the limit of operators by the local authority. The assigned callsign will be B7CRA. Operators mentioned are Terry/BA7NQ, Che/BA7CK, De/BA7JA, Dick/BD7YC, Lin/BI7IOB and Vange/BA7IO. Equipment listed: 2xICOM 756PRO3 with 2x1KFA, 2xSB and 1 GP. AS-145. Operators Choon/E20HHK, Suwikrom/E23CAL, Teerawat/HS3NBR and Damrongsak/HS8GLR will be active as E20HHK/P from Nu Island in the Southern part of Thailand between June 7-8th. AS-145 is a rare IOTA in Thailand and was last activated this year in April by some of the same operators. QSL via E21EIC.

EU-001. Members of the Dx Plus Hellenic Radio Amateur M.I. Team were expected to be active as SX5LA from Levitha Rocky Islet (KM37fa, GIOTA DKS-050, WLOTA-0846) this past week between May 3-11th. Activity was to be on 160-6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via via SV2FWV, by the Bureau or direct and via LoTW. Also, an OQRS will be available via ClubLog. For more details see:

EU-171. Tom, DL4VM, is once again active as OZ/DL4VM from Vendsyssel- Thy/Nordjylland Island (DIA NJ-001) until May 24th. Activity will include operations from Thy National Park (WWFF OZFF-009). Operations will be on 80-10 meters, using mainly CW. QSL via his home callsign, by the Bureau or direct. ADDED NOTE: Tom will return here again between August 30th and September 20th.

NA-057. Operators Rudy/N2WQ and Dennis/W1UE will be on a small DXpedition to Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras (NA-057), between May 22-28th. Expected callsigns will be N2WQ/HR9 and W1UE/HR9. They will be a Multi-Single entry into the CQWW WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th). Contest callsign will probably be W1UE/HR9, unless they can get a shorter one before then. Their station will be modest, with a barefoot K3 and a G5RV antenna for 80-20 meters, and dipoles for 10/15m, all up about 30ft. Outside the contest, they will operate RTTY and some SSB. On RTTY, they will be trying out a multi-channel decoder, so when they say "up 1-5" please get a frequency and stay there! QSL both callsigns to W1UE.

NA-128. Look for members of the "NA-128 Contest Group" to once again be active as CK2I from Isle-aux-Grues, Quebec, Canada, between July 25-27th. Activity will be holiday style. They plan to be in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 26-27th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL via VE2CQ and LoTW.

OC-107. (Correction) Imam, YB4IR, will be active as YB4IR/5 from Singkep Island, in the Lingga Island IOTA Group, between May 12-15th. Activity will be on 40-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via the OQRS on ClubLog, LoTW and eQSL. See QRZ.com for more QSL details.

SA-027. OH0 & OJ0, ALAND ISLAND AND MARKET REEF (Update)
Pasi, OH3WS, will be active as OH0/OH3WS from Aland Island, May 31st and June 1st, while waiting for transport to Market Reef where he will be active as OJ0W between June 2-7th. He will be there as a as a voluntary worker and will operate during his spare time. Activity will be on 40-10 meters mostly CW. QSL via his home callsign.

MD, ISLE OF MAN
Operators Manfred/DM2VC and Bernd/DL9BBE, will be active as MD/homecall from the Isle of May (EU-116) between May 11-19th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters using SSB and RTTY. Watch the IOTA frequencies. QSL via their home callsigns.

MT0, ISLE OF MAN
Members of the Wessex Contest Group (MX0WCB) will be active as MT0WCB from the Isle of May (EU-116) between May 10-17th. Activity will be o 40/20/17/15/10 meters using CW, SSB and some Digital modes. T8, PALAU
Ken, BM2JCC/JP1RIW?, will be active as T88KH from the "West Plaza Hotel by the Sea" (GRID PJ77FI) on Koror Island (OC-009) between May 10-14th. Activity will be on 80-6 meters, including the 17/12m and mostly on the High Band on SSB using 500w on HF and 100w on 6m. His antennas are: 80m Vertical, 40/30m DP, 20/15/10m 3 element Beam, 17/12m 2 element HB9CV and 6m 5 element Beam. QSL via BM2JCC.

TP2, FRANCE

TY, BENIN (Update)
Patrice "Pat", LA0HF, is now active as TY2BP from Ouidah. He informs OPDX, "I am here for an indefinite time, but I may have to go back to Norway for a while, at any time." Activity will be on 20/17/15/12/10/6 meters SSB. QSL via IK2IQD.

V2, ANTIGUA
Operators Rich/KE1B (V25M) and Ann/W6NN (V25N) will continue to be active from Antigua until May 15th. Activity will be on 40-10 meters, with an emphasis on 30/17/12m, using CW, SSB and RTTY. Their station will consist of an Icom IC-7000 with 100 watts into a Buddipole antenna system directly adjacent to the sea. QSL via KE1B, direct or by the Bureau. V3, BELIZE
Darrel, W7ZCK, and his wife Christi, N7CAB, will be active as V31DT and V31AB, respectively, from Round Cay [aka French Louie Caye] (NA-180) on a DX-Holiday between June 7-9th. Activity will be on 40-6 meters using SSB, RTTY, PSK and JT65. Darrel informs OPDX that his equip- ment will be a Yaesu FT-857D and Elecraft KX3 with 100 watts into a Par End Fedz, BuddiStick, and dipoles. QSL via direct to W7ZCK (see QRZ.com).

V6, MICRONESIA
Just a reminder that Shu, JA1FMN, will be active as V63PSK from Weno Island (in the Chuuk State; also known as Moen Island; IOTA OC-011) between May 14-17th. Activity will be holiday style on 20-10 meters using PSK and JT65A. QSL via JA1FMN, by the Bureau, direct or eQSL.

WRTC 2014 (Participation Awards)
The WRTC2014 Organizing Committee wants to encourage everyone to work the 59 WRTC2014 teams during the competition. They also would like to receive your log within 6 hours after the contest to help with the log checking. There are two levels of rewards for working the teams. Their objective is to have home stations work the WRTC2014 stations on as many band/modes as possible, which starts at 1200z, July 12th, and ends 1200z, July 13th. This is during the same time as the IARU HF Championship. Bands are 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 meters. Modes CW and SSB. Complete details for the Participation Awards (Gold/Silver/Bronze) can be found at:

XX9, MACAO (Update)
