INDEXA PRESS RELEASE
Dick Williams, W3OA, Secretary-Treasurer of the International DX Association (INDEXA) reported on June 29th:

TO: All DXers worldwide.
The INDEXA Officers and Board of Directors are pleased to announce their intent to encourage DXpeditions to provide humanitarian aid and services benefiting individuals and communities they visit on DXpedi- tions. Additional funding is available when a DXpedition submits a plan to provide humanitarian aid, the plan is approved by INDEXA, and the plan is successfully completed and documented. This incentive can be as much as an additional 15% added to the financial support offered the DXpedition.

Quoting from the INDEXA website www.indexa.org and the page entitled Humanitarian Aid:
INDEXA believes that many of the DXpeditions we support have a unique opportunity to perform humanitarian activities which will improve the lives of those indigenous people and communities they encounter on a DXpedition. Humanitarian activities come in a variety of forms including education, medical and dental assistance, infrastructure improvements, and physical donations of goods and other services. Obviously, there are many additional ways a DXpedition team or individual team members can positively impact the lives of the people of the community or country the DXpedition team is visiting. INDEXA is prepared to offer additional financial support to DXpeditions as an incentive to conduct humanitarian activities and to offset some or all of the additional costs that may be involved.

The process to follow is clearly outlined on the INDEXA website.

INDEXA is proud to be an important factor in the funding of DXpeditions. Our motto is and has been for over 30 years "Helping Make DX Happen". We feel that INDEXA's approval as a 501(c)(3) organization and the consequent likelihood that donations by U.S. taxpayers are tax deductible means we are well positioned to have a larger impact on the DX community. This announcement of the Humanitarian Aid initiative is an example of our commitment.

REALTIME BAND CONDITIONS WEB SITE
http://www.bandconditions.com
The purpose of this experimental Web site is to provide 24-7-365 actual (REALTIME) band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for Contesters interested in increasing their scores. It can also be of benefit to other Radio Amateurs to determine band conditions for Nets and casual QSO's. This information is NOT based on any software pre- dictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry" which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.

PV70, BRAZIL (Special Event)
Rony, PS7AB, will activate special event station PV70FEB between July 1-30th. Activity is to celebrate the 70th anniversary of World War II and to remember the importance of PEACE. T31, CENTRAL KIRIBATI ISLANDS
Reports from the Friedrichshafen HAM Radio event in Germany indicate a team of experienced DXpeditioners are in a preliminary planning stages to put T31 on the air. Currently, T31 is ranked 30th on The DX Magazine's 2014 Most Wanted Survey. Activity may take place in late 2016 or early 2017. This all depends on the licensing and landing permit formalities. One sources reports, "A boat is reserved for this project and the core team named." This will be an expensive DXpedition project because of Central Kiribati location, and they will be looking for the international DX community to help offset the cost. Look for more details later in the year.
