He believes that since things cannot be resolved until the governmental authorities return from their summer holiday, the 3Y0F operation will probably be delayed until 2016-2017. E6, NIUE (Update)
Don, G3BJ/G5W, reports on the upcoming E6GG September operation [edited]:

All logistics arrangements are now complete for the E6GG operation to Niue between September 16-29th. The first team members leave for the South Pacific in late August, and the whole team meets in Auckland two days before the departure for Niue. All antennas are complete and tested, as are all the stations and computing equipment. The team expects some limited operation on September 15th, with all stations oper- ational on the 16th. The Web site is at www.e6gg.com and includes a propagation analysis.

The team will be listening exclusively for Europe during the relatively short European openings on LF, and hopes to work as many European stations as possible on all bands, where Niue is at #61 on the most wanted list. Whilst we are listening for Europe, we ask the rest of the world to stand-by, to give Europeans a chance on this very marginal LF path.

The team is taking some 400 kg of equipment by air, including four complete high power stations, and will be using antennas at the water’s edge and cliff-top optimized for low angle high gain. They will also use a beverage directed to Europe for LF receiving. E6GG will always use split frequency operation and will announce listening frequencies regularly. For RTTY they will deploy multi-channel receive, so your best chance of an early RTTY QSO is to choose a calling frequency and stay on that frequency until the team finds you. RTTY is likely to be only on a maximum of two bands.

P5, NORTH KOREA (Another Possible Operation!)
The following is listed as "D.P.R.K. Project (Press Release I)" [edited]:

During June 2013, Manuel German, EA7AJR, and I had our first meeting with a D.P.R.K. Government official. After our meeting, we gave him a Ham Radio project for D.P.R.K. One year later, April 2014, we had our second meeting, and we gave him a new project. On April 2015, we had our third meeting, and a new project was sent to Pyongyang. Just few days later after our project was received at the Ministry, the D.P.R.K. Government sent us an official invitation to visit the country looking to discuss our project details in person.

Today, August 17th, 2015, we had a meeting with high level officials from Telecom Ministry. They were very kind, receptive and cooperative. They knew every- thing about Ham Radio, so it was really easy to talk with them about our Ham Radio operation project. If everything goes as it is going up today, I can tell that we are very close to get permission to realize the first legal Ham Radio operation from D.P.R.K. So let's keep our fingers crossed because we are also in front of a real and historical possibility to an opening to future Ham Radio operations from this nice country.

REALTIME BAND CONDITIONS WEB SITE
http://www.bandconditions.com
The purpose of this experimental Web site is to provide 24-7-365 actual (REALTIME) band condition information to CW QRPp, QRPe and CW/SSB for Contesters interested in increasing their scores. It can also be of benefit to other Radio Amateurs to determine band conditions for Nets and casual QSO's. This information is NOT based on any software pre- dictions or any kind of satellite based readings. It is based on a new Ionospheric sounding method called "HF Ionospheric Interferometry" which operates very similarly to the PolSAR system used by NASA.

TX3X CHESTERFIELD ISLAND DXPEDITION NEWS (Press Release 6 - dated August 23rd) [edited]
TX3X - Chesterfield Islands 2015 DX-pedition (OC-176)

The equipment, ~2,400 pounds (1,090kg) on 4 pallets is on the way to New Zealand, scheduled delivery August 26th, and the Advance Team will soon begin their journey to Auckland. They’ll meet the boat at Bayswater Marina and transfer equipment from storage to the boat. On September 16th the boat sails for Noumea, New Caledonia, to collect the team and will sail for Chesterfield Island on September 28th. We expect to land on Oct. 1st and begin setting up the operating camps. On August 5th the skipper reviewed and approved our dates and landing plan.

New Corporate Sponsor: We thank Bob Hardie W5UQ of Expert Linears America, LLC (http://expertlinears.com/) for his support of TX3X. Bob is providing the new, lightweight, SPE EXPERT 1K-FA solid state amplifier. Meeting Bob and his wife Elva at Friedrichshafen, Germany, they immediately offered their support to TX3X.

The Boat: Evohe recently underwent inspection and overhaul. A new generator was installed as well as other systems updated. She’s back in the water with her Class B transponder transmitting position reports, currently in Dunedin, New Zealand. You can follow our journey at TX3X.com.

Operating Principles: As previously announced, we’ll be operating 10-160, SSB, CW and RTTY. We’ll have 6 meter capability, conditions permitting we will try to allocate time to that band. Martti Laine/OH2BH and Wayne Mills/N7NG are providing advice on operating plans and recommending techniques for pile-up management.

North Cook and Tuvalu DX-peditions: E51MQT & E51MKW North Cooks DX- pedition and the T2GC - Tuvalu DX-pedition will be operating during TX3X. Please see our operating frequencies listed at TX3X.com to minimize confusion, make sure you know which team you are calling. Listen to the operator’s instructions.

Getting in the log: Follow the DX Code of Conduct and the operating guidelines posted at TX3X.com and getting in the log should be relatively easy.

Global Pilot Team: After we sail for the island we’ll have limited access to the Internet. Please direct your questions, concerns or comments to the pilot for your geography listed on TX3X.com. For this reason I obtained the special callsign YJ4AO which is a reminiscence to my very first callsign Y24AO. My wife and I always dreamed of visiting the South Pacific only once in our lifetime, and we are very happy to be able to do this trip. Please come back later to this page (QRZ.com) for more information about the DXpedition.
