** EDITOR'S SPECIAL NOTICE: This week's bulletin was sent out earlier
   than normal to accommodate the late CQWW DX CW Contest announcements.
   Also, we wanted to provide the readers with a consolidated listing
   of the CQWW DX CW Contest participants.


** PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Last week the OPDX mailing list received an usual
   amount of E-mail bounces (in the hundreds). The majority of the bounces
   were from the following ISPs: COMCAST, COX and GMAIL. We are not totally
   sure why this happened, but if your ISP blocks the OPDX Bulletin, please

3V, TUNISIA. Operator SWL Ashraf "Ash", 3V4-002 (KF5EYY), will be active
as 3V8SF from the Scout Radio Club of Sfax city club station during the
CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (160m)

3Y0I BOUVET DXPEDITION NEWS. As far as we know, the 3Y0I team is still
in Cape Town, South Africa, and is currently taking classes on cold
weather human survival techniques, and other Special Operations, Water,
Rescue, and Survival classes. They are expected to be completed on Monday,
November 26th. See .
  They also announced this past week that they have chosen pilot stations
which are now listed at the following URL:

  They also mentioned, "There will be no full time online log. The DX-
pedition Team does plan to upload to ClubLog twice a day. Pilots will
not handle busted calls, log/mode requests or DXpedition details. They
are Pilots to report to and assist the DXpedition Team with propagation
openings/bands/times from a very far away place ­ to you."
  Departure dates are still not known. It is still a mystery...
Remember, they plan to stay on the island for at least 2 weeks, if the
weather cooperates. The 3Y0I DXpedition's band plan ­ frequencies (160-6m)

4W, TIMOR LESTE (Reminder). Operators Sookun/HL1AHS and Tae-Su/DS3EXX will
be active as 4W/HL1AHS and 4W/DS3EXX, respectively, from the Caimeo Beach
Resort in East Timor between November 26th and December 3rd. Activity
will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB, and FT8. Equipment will be an
Icom IC-7610 and Elecraft KX3, a Expert 1.3k amp into VDA, Delta Loop,
Hex beam and long wire antennas. QSL 4W/HL1AHS via HL1AHS, direct or LoTW.
QSL 4W/DS3EXX via DS3EXX, direct or LoTW.


5U, NIGER (Reminder). Pierre, HB9AMO, is once again active as 5U9AMO from
Niger until December 3rd. Activity will be holiday style on 160-6 meters
CW using a Yaesu FT-991 w/100w into a Spiderbeam 404-UL multiband antenna
(40-10m) and wire  antennas for 60m, 80m and 160m. He will also be in the
CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power/

5X, UGANDA. Kazuo, YB0AKM/KM9F/JA8WPP, will be active as 5X2B from Kampala
(weather permitting) during the CQWW DX Contest (November 24-25th) as a
Single-Op/All-Band (mainly 80/40m)/Low-Power entry. QSL via LoTW or via
JA1PBV.


5Z, KENYA. Nick, G3RWF, is once again active as 5Z4LS from Nairobi between
now and November 30th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters using mostly CW.
His operations will also include the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th).

9X, RWANDA. Operators Eri/KM4DAY and Alex/LZ4AX are now active as 9X4XX
from Rwanda until November 27th. Activity will be on various HF bands
using CW and SSB. Look for Alex to be active during the CQWW DX CW Contest
(November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry. QSL via LZ3SM.


A7, QATAR. Juma, A71EM, will be active during the CQWW DX CW Contest
(November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (40m) entry. QSL via M0OXO
or LoTW.


A3, TONGA. Operators David/VK3BDX, Grant/VK5GR and Oly/VK5XDX will be
active as A35AG from Tonga sometime in September/October 2019. Activity
will be holiday style on 160-10 meters and will include entries in the
CQWW DX RTTY Contest (September 28-29th) and Oceania DX SSB Contest

AU2, INDIA (Special Event). Look for special event station AU2JCB to be
active between November 23rd and December 11th. Activity will be on 80-6
meters using SSB. Suggested frequencies are (depending on the propagation):
3710, 7040, 7150, 14210, 14250, 14310, 21235, 21310, 21350, 28490, 28510
and 28545 kHz. On FM Mode: 6m - 50800 and 51500; 10m 29700 kHz If higher
bands are open, operations will be on those bands. The operator will be
Surabhi, VU2DSI. QSL direct (with 2 IRCs) to VU2DSI. Operations are to
celebrate the 159th anniversary of the birth (November 30th) of Sir
Jagadeesh Chandra Bose, India's great scientist and inventor who they

from Madeira Island (AF-014) between November 20-26th, before and after
the CQWW DX CW Contest. In the contest, he will be a member of the CR3X
contest team (Andy/UB7K and Dmytro/UZ5DX) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL

FY, FRENCH GUIANA. Operator Didier, FY5FY, will be active during the CQWW
DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m)/High-

GU, GUERNSEY. Oleg, RL5D, will be active as GU3HFN (the Guernsey Amateur
Radio Society callsign) from St. Peter Port during the CQWW DX CW Contest
(November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry. QSL via GU8ITE

IOTA NEWS..............
  NA-013.  (Reminder) Operators Sergey/R4WAA, YL Elena/RC5A, Yan/RZ3FW,
           Yuri/RM0F and Yuri N3QQ members of the Russian Robinson Club,
           will be active as H7/R4WAA, H7/RC5A, YN4RRC, H7/RM0F and
           H7/N3QQ from Big Corn Island between November 26th and December
           26th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW and SSB.

Island, in the Nile River, near Cairo (Zone 34). Activity has been mainly
on FT8 and on 80/40/30/20/17/15 meters. Look for him to be in the CQWW DX
CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (15m)/Low-Power
entry. QSL  ia LoTW or EA5GL. He will be using 100 watts and a dipole.

TO8, MARTINIQUE. Tom, K8BKM, will be active as TO8T from Martinique
between February 13-18th. His activity will include the ARRL International
DX CW Contest (February 16-17th, 2019) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL
via K8BKM direct, LoTW or ClubLog.


V4, ST. KITTS AND NEVIS. Bernie, W3UR, editor of the Daily DX and Weekly
DX, and his wife Becky, N3OSH, are once again planning to be active from
John's, W5JON/V47JA, Calypso Bay QTH, on St. Kitts, between January
8-20th. Activity will be holiday style as V47UR on 160-6 meters using
100 watts from a K3 and vertical antennas. Look for more details to be
forthcoming.


VP9, BERMUDA. Operators Hal/W1NN and Brooke/N2BA will be active as VP9I
from Ed/VP9GE's Hamilton Parish QTH (NA-005, WLOTA 0201) for the CQWW DX
CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Multi-Single/All-Band entry. QSL via
WW3S.


XT, BURKINA FASO. Al, F8FUA, will once again be active as XT2BR, from
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, between December 2-11th. He will use an Elecraft
K3 with 100 watts into a hexbeam and dipoles, operating on CW, SSB, RTTY
and FT8 (DXpedition mode) if possible. Log will be updated when possible
depending on his Internet access. QSL direct (with SAE and 2 USDs) or via
the REF QSL Bureau. After his operation, Al will upload his log to LoTW.


XV, VIETNAM (Update/Correction). Mats, RM2D (SM6LRR), is once again
active as XV9D (not XV2D as first announced) from Phan Tiet until December
2nd. Activity will be holiday style, but he will make a serious effort for
the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th). Entry category will be defined
later [possibly Single-Band or All-Band]. Activity before and after the
contest will be mainly on CW, SSB, and possibly some Digital modes on
40-10 meters including the 30/17/12m bands, and possibly 80 meters as
well. QSL via LoTW or direct to SM6LRR. NO Bureau QSLs.
