3Y0J BOUVET ISLAND DXPEDITION NEWS (Update). Co-Leaders Ken, LA7GIA,
posted the following update on the 3Y0J Bouvet Island FaceBook page
(https://www.facebook.com/groups/3093983840726129), September 9th
[edited]: "The 20ft 3Y0J container has arrived at Oslo airport!! Team
is busy packing container as it is scheduled to leave Oslo early next
week and arrive in VP8 early November. We're going through our check
lists, all equipment is being weighted and measured. All content is being
logged. This is an extremely time consuming activity, but we will all be
rewarded when we go onshore Bouvet in 4 months time. Next up is container
shipment and then 3rd vessel deposit - please consider to donate to help
us reach Bouvet. During the last two weeks we have received another 20,000
USDs in donations which we're extremely grateful for... Thanks to everyone
for supporting us!"

page with new details and plans at (https://s21dx.org). Ex-
           cerpts state the following
[edited]: Again they are planning to do more QSO from AS-140
           between December 10-16th, 2022...
             Operators mentioned are Rabby/S21RC, Manju S21AM, Dipi/S21D,
Shafin/S21TG, Zubayer/S21BK, Omi (TBA) and possibly others....
This 2022 we are planning to activate AS-140 from "Dhal Char"
Island [Island may changed due to approval from authority - but
it will be AS-140]. Planning Three (3) HF stations and One
QO-100 station, Few more better antennas (Beam, 4 Square array,
Beverage RX etc). We are planning to use a SSPA for SSB Phone
if we can buy a larger (3000VA) generator.
We will also try to invite more interested S2 operators if
we find with adequate experience (interested Bangladeshi HAM.
QSL Policy: Similar to our 2 past IOTA, we will NOT monetize
QSL to fund the DX-pedition. Paper QSL will be handled by our
good friend David, EB7DX, who acts as our QSL Manager for last
15+ years. Please check EB7DX website for more detail about QSL
service. All QSO log also will be uploaded in LoTW and ClubLog
immediately if not during the activation. No need for contri-
bution for LOTW/CLUBLOG confirmation (It's free) - but your
support NOW can help us prepare better which will increase
your chance of having a QSO with us.
Budget and Support requirement: As of August 2022, due to price
hike of everything in the country/Worldwide, budget is now set
for 7,000 USDs. The initial estimated budget was set for 5,200
USDs, among these the operators and volunteers (so far they bare
their own transportation and food cost) will provide around
3,000 USDs (was 2,000 USDs), rest of the 4,000 USDs (was 3,200
USDs) needed for the boat charter, aluminum and glass fiber
antenna mast, generator and fuel and we are looking for con-
tribution from HAMs around the world.

  EU-120. Operators Keviin/2E0KKV, Peter/G4UIX, Stuart/M0SGV and Ray/M0XDL
will be active as GB0IOW from Isle of Wight, an island off the
South Coast, between September 19-23rd. This is the South Dorset
Radio Society annual trip to a Dairyman's Cottage within the
Tapnell Farm Park. Activity will be on various HF bands using
SSB and various Digital modes, especially FT8. QSL via eQSL
or LoTW, but will respond direct to M0XDL.

J8, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES. Gerrit, AJ4YX, will be active as
J8/AJ4YX from Saint Vincent (NA-109, WW Loc. FK93jd) between February
15-21st. Activity will be limited due to some other obligations during
his stay, but he will be active as much as possible. Operations will be
on 80-10 meters using CW, SSB and FT8 (F/H), with an Elecraft K3S into
verticals and a dipole. During the weekend of February 18-19th, he will
spend sometime in the ARRL International DX CW Contest, providing a
multiplier for W/VE stations. All other days, expect him to be active
mostly on SSB and FT8. Suggested FT8 frequencies will be: 3567, 7065,
10131, 14090, 18095, 21091, 24911 and 28091 kHz. QSL via ClubLog's OQRS
(preferred), by the Bureau (via OQRS) or direct to PA2LO. LoTW upload of
the entire log will be done shortly after his return home. Complete details
can be found at: https://www.pa2lo.com/j8

JW, SVALBARD. Rig, HI8RD, will be active as JW/HI8RD from the JW5E Long-
yearbyen club station between September 19-27th. Activity will be holiday
style using SSB and FT8. QSL via HI8RD direct or LoTW. Rig will also be
part of the Dateline DX Association JW0A team which will be active between
September 19-26th. (https://www.ddxa.net/wordpress)

K4, UNITED STATES (POW/MIA Event). Observance of "National POW MIA Recog-
nition Day" is held across this United States on the third Friday in
September. This year it will be on September 10th. The day was established
to honor our prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action.
This will be the 14th year that special event station K4MIA has been
activated. Primary operational days will be September 10th through Sep-
tember 18th. Operators will be active on SSB, CW and FT8. Also, look for
the following sister stations to be on the air: K4MIA/5, K4MIA/7 and
K4MIA/8. Throughout the month of September, K4MIA will hopefully be
operating on the Satellites, EME, Microwave and other less used Digital
modes (PSK32, Hell Scriber, RTTY, SSTV). Besides operating from their
home QTHs, operators will operate from a helicopter, VA Hospital, American
Legion Post, and various parks (as part of POTA). They are trying to
increase the awareness of our POWs and MIAs. Because of the volume of
requests, you MUST SEND SASE to get a returned QSL. Please take time to
remember our POW's and MIA's as well as their families. Operators would
also like to include the KIA's and all veterans (past and present) that
have given so much for this country.

K7. UNITED STATES (Special Event - Honoring All the Heroes). By the time
you read this, special event station "K7H" should be active until September
12th (between 1700-0200z), to remember the events of 9/11. Activity will
be on CW, SSB and the Digital modes. No other details available.

LU, ARGENTINA. Operators Hoc/LU5BE, Enrique/LU8EFF and Vic/LU7JMS will
be active as homecall/GR from Herradura (WW Loc. GG03um), in the north
of Argentina and the Province of Formosa, between September 13-18th.
Activity will be holiday style on 80-6 meter using CW, SSB, FT8 and LEO
satellite, with possibly 2 stations. QSL via their home callsign.

P2, PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Puiu, YO5BIM, is currently and once again active
as P29VIM from Port Moresby, until September 21st. He has been there since
August 25th. Activity will be on 160-6 meters (including 60m and 70cm)
using mainly CW, JT9 and FT8, with an Icom IC-706 MK2G and a Kenwood
TS-50S. QSL via his home callsign or LoTW.

P4, ARUBA. Jaap, PA7DA, will be active as P4/PA7DA (possibly P40DA, but
not yet confirmed) from Aruba (SA-036) between November 13-27th. Activity
will be limited (family vacation) on 40-10 meters using CW, SSB and the
Digital modes. Jaap states, "It will be a low-cost activation, using
IC-7300 w/100 watts into a HyEndFed wire antenna." QSL via PA7DA by the
Dutch Bureau. For possible updates, watch: http://pa7da.jouwweb.nl/p4-aruba

PACIFIC TOUR. William "BJ", WA7WJR, will be active from two locations
in the Pacific between October and November. His activity will include
contests and the activation of Parks on the Air (POTA). BJ informs OPDX
of the following [edited]: "I'll be sailing between Guam and the Common-
wealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI -- Rota, Tinian, Saipan
and possible Pagan Island) during October and November. I will arrive
back in Guam on September 28th, and have definite plans to play in the
All Oceania Phone Contest on October 1st (UTC) from Guam, and the All
Oceania CW Contest on October 8th from Rota Island, CNMI.
I will likely leave Guam on October 3rd or 4th to head to Rota and
will likely be in Rota until the 10th of October. Then up to Tinian for
a few days, then onto Saipan. Then back the opposite way to Guam in
November so I can be home for the holidays. Best way to track my position
and where I will be operating from is via:
'Where Am I? | Quests of Discovery'
          https://www.questsofdiscovery.com/current-position
                                  -or-
                     'Discovery15797 (predictwind.com)'
       https://forecast.predictwind.com/tracking/display/Discovery15797
I will also be trying to activate as many parks for Parks on the Air
(POTA) as I can in each location.
I am a 1-man 'holiday style' DXpedition so my operating schedule is
basically 'when I feel like it.' I'll try to work mornings (my time) to
get U.S. stations (evening U.S. time), but usually by 10 am it's pretty
toasty, so my past trips to Guam I've only worked late afternoon/evening.
My rig is an Elecraft Kx3 with a KPXA 100 amp. I will use either a
Buddipole hexbeam or a SteppIr CrankIr vertical antenna. I will work
primarily 20m, 17m, and 15m. My modes will include FT-8/FT-4, CW, and
some phone.
I've worked lots of Japan, and some EU stations, so I'm hoping that
this trip I'll be able make some U.S. QSOs."
QSL via his home callsign or LoTW.
