QSL Manager Allan, G0IAS, informs OPDX that Harry, 7Q7HB (G0JMU), at last has his brand new radio shack completed. He has a new telescopic tilt-over, free standing lattice mast installed, and a new A4S antenna at the top. However, Allan states, "It's been MONTHS of hard work....now only to find that the rotator is broken beyond repair. So he has fastened the A4 beaming north for the time being." Harry is expected to stay here until November 1st and then return to England. He will take another rotator down to the southwest shore of Lake Malawi, at "Club Makokola", on his next visit. Remember, the QSL route for 7Q7HB is as always "DIRECT ONLY" to G0IAS (NO BUREAU... Allan is not a member of the RSGB, so he is NOT allowed to use the BUREAU in the UK and there is NO Bureau in Malawi). If anyone has any questions for Allan, his E-mail is good on QRZ.com and is: allan.g0ias@btinternet.com Allan will answer any E-mails within a couple of hours.

QSL TX5C via OH2BH. The Finnish-Turkish Friendship Consortium station was active again this past weekend during the "Worked All Europe DX SSB Contest." Also, the following press release from Jarmo, OH2BN, (dated Sept 12th) was sent out: "ASIAN TURKEY WITH A HAPPY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND ROUND NUMBERS: Leena, OH2BE, and Martti, OH2BH, left Finland for an unknown address in Asian Turkey on their wedding anniversary and Leena's round-number birthday. Today is the wedding anniversary and Mom was on the ropes at an antenna party in the soaring temperature of 36C. They got the job done, and TC4X should be on the air now plus in the European DX Contest this weekend.

Outside of the contest TC4X will be operated by Tefvik, TA1HZ. The upcoming magic day will be topped with a candlelight dinner and lacebed- sheet at a place overlooking the romantic Marmara Sea at sunset. Gosh, the actual birthday coincides with the contest but mixing and maxing will hopefully provide the best results on both fronts. Who said life is an easy journey when you marry a beady-eyed contest type?"
